Our Impact

Education

Proyecto Don Bosco sponsors 200 students and their families. Sometimes this sponsorship pays their tuition, for some it is just a little extra money to help the family. This money comes with the promise that their students will stay in school and maintain good grades. 

Health

In Guatemala, medications are expensive and many are not able to afford them. Our project makes donations of money and equipment to make health care affordable and many medications are given out free of charge

Recent News: Athletics

As with teens in America, teens in Guatemala can often be tempted to start bad habits. One way Projecto Don Bosco is working to prevent drinking amongst the teens in the project is by introducing a new running club. This club will be sponsored by the project and run by two volunteer coaches in Santa Lucia (pictured above). There will be a number of benefits to this club. Young people who are busy are not bored, the exercise will benefit them physically, and if/when they win races it will be great publicity for the project! Stay tuned for more details.
